Der Ford 3.5L (Baujahre 2011–2016) weist einen Konstruktionsfehler auf: Der Originalhersteller nutzt nicht alle Befestigungspunkte für die Abgasbolzen. Dies führt zu verzogenen Abgaskrümmern, gebrochenen Abgasbolzen und durchgebrannten Krümmerdichtungen. Der Zylinderkopf des Ford 3.5L Ecoboost-Benzinmotors verfügt über Gewindebohrungen für 11 Abgasbolzen, der Originalkrümmer nutzt jedoch nur 8 davon. BD hat einen Krümmer entwickelt, der nicht nur alle 11 Befestigungspunkte nutzt, sondern auch den Abgasstrom optimiert und die Haltbarkeit verbessert – so, wie es ab Werk hätte sein sollen. Die Abgaskrümmer von BD für den Ford 3.5L sind aus dickwandigem, hochsiliziumhaltigem Sphäroguss gefertigt und widerstehen thermischer Verformung. Jedes Set enthält 22 Abgasdistanzstücke und 22 Bolzen der Festigkeitsklasse 8.8, die die thermische Haltbarkeit zusätzlich verbessern.
