Check the actual driveshaft and carrier bearing

This shim kit addresses take-off vibration on vehicles with a two-piece driveshaft and carrier bearing. A Mega Cab badge alone does not establish the installed driveline. Verify the actual shaft, carrier bearing, lift configuration and installation requirements.

The current manufacturer heading lists Ram 2500 4WD (2003–2016) and 3500 4WD (2011–2016), while its vehicle table also includes earlier 3500 years. Ram 3500 model years 2003–2010 require manufacturer confirmation because these source statements conflict. Do not infer fitment for 2WD, a one-piece shaft or later model years.

On vehicles equipped with a two piece drive shaft & carrier bearing as on the Mega Cab, there is the potential for take off vibration, depending on the severity, this can be corrected with shimming down the carrier bearing.
