Der Universal-Luftfilter RP-5135 besteht aus geöltem Baumwollfiltermaterial. Er verfügt über eine Ober- und Unterseite aus K&N-geprägtem Carbonfaser-Material für hohe Stabilität und Langlebigkeit. Das Carbonfaser-Element trägt zum geringen Gewicht bei und verleiht dem Filter eine glatte, glasähnliche Oberfläche. Der RP-5135 ist ein Klemmfilter mit einem Innendurchmesser des Flansches von 84 mm (3-5/16 Zoll) und einer Flanschlänge von 51 mm (2 Zoll). Die Basis misst 476 mm x 127 mm (18-3/4 Zoll x 5 Zoll), die Filterhöhe beträgt 122 mm (4-13/16 Zoll). Die Oberseite des Filters ist mit einem Gewinde für eine 6-mm-Schraube zur einfachen Montage versehen.
