Softride® Zusatzfederblätter werden ausschließlich aus amerikanischem Stahl gefertigt und mit harten Stahlkugeln bei sehr hoher Geschwindigkeit kugelgestrahlt. Durch dieses Kugelstrahlen wird die Stahloberfläche verdichtet, wodurch die Zugfestigkeit des Federblatts erhöht wird. Ohne dieses Verfahren ließen sich der maximale Federweg und der optimale Fahrkomfort nicht erreichen, ohne die Lebensdauer des Federblatts zu beeinträchtigen. Die Skyjacker® Zusatzfederblätter sind für den Mittelbolzen vorgebohrt. Die Position des Bolzens variiert je nach Anwendung. Die meisten haben lange, sich verjüngende Enden für eine progressive Dämpfung und mehr Fahrkomfort.
